We Offer Online Psychotherapy Services
We are providing online psychotherapy to people throughout Australia as a full-fee service with no Medicare or Government involvement and so no rebates. However we also provide Telehealth video consultations via zoom or phone using special Medicare item numbers introduced because of the COVID pandemic.
Sensitive to the Pandemic
Throughout the Corona Virus pandemic there was limited Telehealth available under Medicare with bulk-billing or private billing. Now Telehealth is more broadly available. In general, we think that private-billing is appropriate for complex mental health treatments such as psychotherapy where a high level of mutual commitment is required from both patient and therapist. Patients must be seen face-to-face to begin with before having consultations via Telehealth.
Specialised Services
Consultations via Telehealth (video or phone) is a very specialised service which aims to reproduce the ambience of an intimate face to face therapy.
It requires different skillsets from the traditional face-to face therapies and is important that it is set up properly at both ends in order to create an ambience of privacy, safety and time.
A Premium Service
If you are someone who wishes to disentangle your life from unnecessary government involvement you can have online private online consultations with no Medicare rebates. This service is not affordable for many people but means that you are not restricted by location and you can also tailor the length of sessions to your individual needs.
